Tattoo on back
Through photoshop I tried putting the tattoo on my model. But the issue I have is that it definitely looks photoshop. As well as with tattoo's, the artists have their own flair they put in their tattoo's. Something I can't seem to accomplish to the same standard.
Because of this I am going to carry on with my 'Life on a String' idea.

How will it look?
I want my model to have very dramatic makeup for the tattoo shoot. Even though her face won't be the center of what the pictures are based around, I want something to enforce her 'dramatic' personality.
Possible layout of the tattoo? I haven't drawn the tattoo yet as I'm still unsure how I want the overall look to look like.

Ideas
So far I have come up with two ideas for the first project of narrative photography.
The first idea is through the use of tattoo's, it will show a persons life experiences. The idea of this would be to show how certain life experiences stick with us throughout our whole life. In the good or the bad. To show this I want to use a progressive tattoo upon a persons back. The tattoo will enforce the idea of it sticking with someone forever.
My second idea is titled "Life on a String." It goes into the idea of people following a certain path which was made for them since the beginning of time. Showing people follow the path as that is all they know. Too scared or unaware of having the ability to make their own path into the unknown. This story follows a woman who decides one day that she was sick of following the path made for her. That it is time to make her own path, make her own future. The path will be shown through the use of string.

First group.
The way the tattoo's are photographed is what I find interesting. They are portrayed as art rather than just pictures on skin. They show how much concentration goes into tattooing. As well as showing how each artist has their own flair and style just like that of a painter or sculpture.

A glamorised narrative form. I like the more dramatic poses and makeup. They stand out more, although don't form anymore expression than that of other narrative photographs.
